Sutton was due on March 8th, 1999 but showed up 18 days early. Cee Cee started to have contractions at 8:30 PM on Wednesday Night (02/17/99). So I called Sam Huddlestion (a co-worker) at 6:00 AM Thursday morning to see if he could go and met with the people at Alcoa because I didn't think I would make it to the meeting. We then called the hospital to see what they wanted us to do. They said for us to come on in so we got there at 7:00 AM Thursday morning and the doctor said the baby was breach and suggested doing a C-Section. The operation was done at 1:00 PM Thursday afternoon.
Here are the stats:
Name: Sutton Lee Doyle (Sutton was his Great Great Great Grandfather on the Father side)
Time: 1:11 PM
Date: 02/18/99
Weight: 8 lbs 2 ¼ oz. (he was 18 days early)
Length: 20 inches
His namesake: Sutton Doyle, was the first doctors in what is known as Mammoth Cave National Park located in Kentucky. History has it that a man was shot while steeling corn from his neighbor. Knowing that Sutton was the only doctor in the area, people when to him to determine if anyone had come to him with a gunshot wound. Sutton said that a man had been there with a gunshot wound but he would not identify the man because of his hypothecate oath. Because he did what he thought was right he was not allowed to be buried in the family cemetery and was buried on the other side of the Green River near Great Onyx Cave.
Below are a few photos.
